Dane finished with his first year of dental school! Once he finished his classes and finals the school put on a
dinner cruse on the boat "The Spirit of Boston." We took an
evening cruse on the boat, have dinner and watch the sun set over Boston.

Dane was so sly taking this picture. Do you see the sail boaters in sailing class off to the left in this picture. Most days you can walk by the Charles River and see these sailing classing going on. There is a row boat with the instructor yelling into a mega phone at all the sailors. It's fun to see and tempting to try.

This is the pavilion that Dane and I will be going to see Colbie Caillat and Gavin Degraw perform next week. (Birthday present! Thanks again Dane!)
On our way out into Boston Harbor we had to wait for an air craft carrier to port in Boston. It was awe inspiring to see this huge ship, and seeing all the coast guard ships guiding it in while their fire hoses were spraying in all directions. It made you feel very patriotic. I love our troops. The boat took a loop out in the harbor and as we were heading back into Boston then there was a fire works show welcoming the Navy sailors back.
As we drove by the Air Craft Carrier I was amazed at how huge it was. They had opened just one little bay and we could see inside as we cruised on by and this just one tiny section opened up to huge hall where we could see flags hanging from the ceiling and see sailors walking back and forth just like a highway of little ants. It was busy in just that one little peep hole we got to look in. It's hard to imagine what the rest of the ship was like. So many sailors!
Overall it was the perfect night. The weather really cooperated and we had a great time with some of our friends. It was such a fun night. I hope we can do something similar in the future.
