The End of the Year

 Yeah for the end of the year!   The last two weeks of December were great.  Dane didn't get much of a break to relax and hang out.  He had two weeks off, and for the first week he came to work with me everyday to help out with different projects around the office.
On Monday we were watching some pre-season basketball highlights on sports center.  I was noticing that the players were all really relaxed so there were a bunch of dunks and players taking ridiculous shots that normally they wouldn't.  I thought that looked fun so I told Dane we should look and see if the Celtics had a game this week.  They played on Wednesday, so we jumped on the chance to see the Celtics for cheaper.

Luckily we have awesome friends that decided to come along with us so we had some company! Lucky they both were wearing green.  

 This is an awesome house up the road that goes all out for Christmas.  It is quite the sight to see! I don't wish for that electric bill. 

 Christmas dinner called for a little festive attire.  We had Christmas dinner on the 23rd since on Christmas Eve we went to...

 Christmas day was fun with the family.  Unfortunately, we didn't take many pictures. Daniel had me fro Christmas... Check out that awesome wrapping job!

My mom decided that she was going to have a series of activities that we would all be competing for prizes.  One of those activities was Archery! Dane got the friend, not the foe. 

 That was a thumbs down.

 My dad also had an identical shot... however that seemed occasion enough for a thumbs up! Not sure what that says about my dad!

Then we went to see the Harlem Globe Trotters.... who have 40 YEARS OF WINS, as the announcer told us.  That quickly became a catch phrase among my brothers.

Another day we headed into Boston to do some of the freedom trail. Here we are by a dry docked WW2 ship.  We were just looking around and met this guy that volunteers on the ship started chatting with my Dad. Turns out he served on an identical ship and had all sorts of stories about it.  It was great getting to hear about life on the ship.

Dane's birthday!!! My mom bought a groupon for a birthday party at a bowling alley. We loved seeing this great sign! Now, this is not just any kind of bowling... it's an east coast special... Candle-pin bowling.  The lanes are shorter.  The balls a smaller.  You get 3 balls.... But you only get a spare if it's on your second ball... not third.

 Some serious bowlers. Sean and Taylor! Game face... ON.  And some not so serious bowlers.... We got these awesome patches by playing the arcade games. 35 tickets each!

 We stopped by the beach since we were close anyway, and saw surfers out there!  It was nuts.  The waves were huge by east coast standards and it was windy.  That made the top of the wave spray up.  It was beautiful.
