A birthday to remember!

I had one of the most interesting birthdays this year. I woke up and went to my dentist appointment. I got a cavity filled and wound up with a numb cheek until that afternoon... even though they said it would only be a couple hours. :) I got to work as one of my co-workers was leaving, which I thought was odd since we have the same schedule. I was later pulled into my bosses office and found out that I wasn't getting enough "sales" to stay in that department. Thank goodness that my boss likes me. He went to bat for me and I was hired on to a different department in the company. So here I am going through all these meetings, and I can't even speak clearly because half my face won't work! I am so grateful I have a job. I am so grateful I wasn't fired on my birthday! :) It's like I got a new job. That evening was fun. We went out to dinner with a bunch of friends to Texas Roadhouse. It was so fun to see friends that I hadn't seen in a while.

Dane had done all the inviting, and I was just finding out who was coming as we were driving there. It was a nice surprise. Now I keep thinking of all these people I would have invited. I guess we'll just have to have another party! I had told Dane not to tell the waiter it was my birthday... but he did. So once our dinner was wrapping up then our waiter comes over with the saddle, makes me sit on it, they yell really loud and have everyone yell "Yee Haw!"

My friend told me that they give you this big brownie with ice cream... Turns out it was just a scoop of ice cream with a dab of chocolate sauce. It wasn't worth it, and Jenny wound up eating the ice cream anyway! For my birthday Dane gave me a sewing machine! I have wanted one. Now I just need someone to teach me how to use it! hahaha! Dane also got me new bearings for my long board. Those were needed. Now we just need to head up Provo canyon to break them in! It was quite the day! I'm happy I have friends and a job!
