All to save 50 bucks

Yesterday I went to SLC with my mom, who was in town, and my sisters. We had fun time visiting family and getting massages at the school. We were supposed to meet Dane up there that evening for fun in the pool at my sister's apartment complex. Instead I got a call from Dane saying that our car won't start, and he was stuck at the grocery store. Lucky boy! The starter has been struggling for a while. Since everything electrical was still working we ruled out the battery. My sister let me borrow one of their cars so I could get back down to Provo, and use it while our car got fixed, while Dane had to walk the 2.5 miles to get home. On his way home he stopped by a couple auto shops to just get a handle on what we were looking at. There was one shop that was open, but they were closing up soon. Dane found out that even though our car was about 3 blocks away it would still cost us $50 to get a tow truck. So today we went back over to the parking lot where Dane ditched the car to see if it would maybe start today. Nope. So we popped it in neutral and headed on down the road. We pushed it through a busy intersection and into a auto shop that was only about a block from the parking lot we were in. We were lucky and had this one guy stop and help us push. His name was Juan and I don't think he understood much of what we were saying. We were also blessed that when we rolled right up to the intersection it turned green for us just in time... and even though there weren't any other cars going our direction the light stayed green long enough for us to roll through. We were sweaty in the 89 degree sunshine and Dane's legs got especially tired, but we're just glad everything worked out great. Now the car is waiting patiently until Monday morning to be worked on... and we didn't even have to pay for a tow!
